Drinking and Smoking
The bar, the party, or your relaxing moment at home, your alcohol intake and your smoking go hand in hand. It is a deadly combination, as when you drink, you lose count on your cigarettes, and you often over smoke. Have you ever been out on the town, drunk too much, and at the same time, smoked ever cigarette in the box? This is common, because you have to understand why you smoke in the first place.
Your Need to Smoke
It is part of the nicotine urge, but more than that, it is the process of fulfilling your smoking mindset, and what you believe you should do to make your habit feel fulfilled. You are so programmed by your smoking brain, that you really are not feeling your craving disappear, you actually never feel it fulfilled-especially when you drink.
Does this make sense? It is a really difficult idea to fathom, but when you are in your smoking brain, you are conditioned, almost brain washed to believe you must smoke to stop the urge. The fact is, you are never going to get rid of the urge. It is not really fulfilled at all. The reality of it is, your fulfillment of your nicotine craving, is brief, and very small. The bigger craving, is your fear that you may lose your cigarette, run out, or that it may some how get lost, so you smoke like a fiend.
This happens more in a drunk brain, than the normal sober brain. But, you may see chain smokers, those poor souls, who have tried to quit, and made their cigarettes, very important and precious. Whatever you do, do not quit smoking until you have resolved your readiness to quit, and you understand why your smoking is so crave filled and crazy.
